Re: 71 Chevy C10 Radio Advice
You could still mount it. The side mounts are vary adjustable. Maybe ditch the stock bezel and make one that fits your dash.

Re: 71 Chevy C10 Radio Advice
I put in the Custom Autosound AM/FM ipod Stereo. Has a good sound. Looks factory. I put two 4 inch Kenwoods in the dash. Two 3-way Kenwood 6.5 in the kickpanels and two 6.5 Kenwood Excelerons in the back and one 10 inch Kenwood Exceleron sub running off a Kenwood Exceleron 900 watt Amp. Very nice sound and all pretty much stock looking. I had relocated the tank so, the extra space was nice.

Re: 71 Chevy C10 Radio Advice
Fits real nice. I have had the seat in to test fit it and that Kenwood Exceleron subn really does a nice job.
I used 1/2 MDF covered with headliner material to mount everything to it and as you noticed utilized the stock tank holes to keep it stable.

Re: 71 Chevy C10 Radio Advice
How are you guys installing 2 4" in the dash? Can you show me a picture? Also the PO of my truck has the stereo wired but it has no memory and clock is always reset. Do you know what wire I need to change? I am thinking maybe the stock wiring and radio wouldn't have that wire because it wasn't needed. Thanks
