The gate is a 69 or newer because of the lower trim. I have no idea what color it is?? I have never seen this color before?? Mabey a special paint color?? It has a dent in the lower by the trim and two littlt dents on the back. Very nice gate, NO rust at all.

I thought if it was the stock 69 marron that it would be a very nice bolt up to a driver of mine. Sounds like its something different. It looks rootbeer brown from here!! I've got one I could paint, I'm just lazy.

If it is in fact a '69, the RPO # is 517 and its a metallic "Maroon". Thats the closest thing they had.

Joe...............what other color tailgates do you have for sale, or possibly for sale?

Joe that's a nice one but my truck has no trim and I was planning to smooth the recessed area of the gate and relocate the handle to the inside. That gate is to nice to adulterate IMO. The color is close to my 68, would they used the same color for more than one year?
