Re: show me your brown truck!

Here's my 78

At one point we had three brown and cream trucks. This crew can and two regular cab heavy halfs. One was all original 454/t400 with 120,000km.

Re: show me your brown truck!

Now if I could find a duplicate of my 1 ton single axle big block truck in that crew cab 4 door you have there, I'd get rid of mine and swap.

I like the single axle 4 doors, very neat truck

Looks just about like mine. I assume that's a 3/4 ton???

Re: show me your brown truck!

Very neat, wish I could have found one of those when I was looking. I settled for a 2 door (original paint/no rust) so I couldn't be picky. Mines also a 454/400 turbo (now a 502 GM crate engine) This one is a Bananza/camper special package. I had a Sierra Classic package like yours, but green, another 454/400 turbo.

Hey is that a Bananza? I haven't seen another Bananza in years, thought I had the only one left Everything around here is a Sierra, Scottsdale, Silverado etc...

That is also an interesting color. Wish I could see that in person, looks almost orange in that shady picture.

Re: show me your brown truck!

A recent shot of my truck at the Bonneville Salt Flats during Speed Week this year:

Drove from Wichita, KS, to Bonneville and then to Roswell, NM, before returning home. Averaged anywhere from 15 to 17 mpg. The only thing I did to it while on the road was change to a colder set of spark plugs thanks to some intermittent detonation and replaced the fuel selector valve while chasing a vapor lock issue I'm having.
