Hmmmmmmmmmm.... Factory chevy caps on those wheels may look real good.....I wonder which ones may fit? 15" C10, or the 16.5" C20s????

Re: IDEA!!! 18in STEELIES!!!

Just realized something, this whole time I though dodge trucks were 5 on 5 but apparently I was wrong. The reason I assumed this is because my wife's 2011 grand cherokee IS 5 on 5. It has a steel spare but not sure if its a 20, need to look. The problem is the alloy wheels right now appear to have a lot of back spacing, I'm guessing the steal spare is the same. I think they would tuck inside the 67-72 fender way too much...but I'm gonna try her spare just for the heck of it.

dodge runs 5x5.5, same as the old f*rds from the 70s etc. dwarf, once i get them ill do some testing to see what works, i really like babymoons and turbine caps, but whatever works, i think they will look awesome with beauty rings and caps, give it a new school 18" look with a classic twist.

Re: IDEA!!! 18in STEELIES!!!

Local guy here has a 67-69 F**d with the Dodge wheels and baby moons, looks pretty slick! I'm going to look around and see if I can find something for down the road, going to stick with my 15's as long as I can keep finding tires. I like the look of 31x 10.50's on it, I like stock height with the bigger tires!

Re: IDEA!!! 18in STEELIES!!!

so i picked them up, ran out of day light but got one on. they need spacers, i picked up a set of 1/4 in spacers, but the center hole on the wheels still touches on the hub. and there is only about 6-7 threads sticking out for the lugnuts to grab. so i think that 1 in spacers will make them sit perfect. ill get better pics later but this is it for now. i kinda like the look. its hard to see right now with one on. i dont like the black, i think ill go silver.

Re: IDEA!!! 18in STEELIES!!!

Try painting just the lip silver, like a trim ring would look, and find a center cap that will fit.

Re: IDEA!!! 18in STEELIES!!!

im not sure about a center cap, there is nothing to grab, its all smooth inside and out. only thing that it could would be to find centers that clip on the outside of the lugnuts.

How did you manage to install baby moons? I've been trying to figure that out for a while now.

Re: IDEA!!! 18in STEELIES!!!

Chevs of the 40's has the baby moon clips you order online. Figure 5 clips per wheel . Place a moon on to Guage were you need to drill the holes and use small nylon nuts & bolts and your good to go. 15min per wheel. The clips are adjustable for tightness
