KUDOS to Steve for logging in and providing information regarding this thread!!! If Brothers did not care, we would not have seen any response.

Oops... sorry about the multiple identical posts. I thought I was having a problem with my internet connection on this end so I guess I pushed "Submit" more than once. If the forum admin would be so kind as to removed my duplicates (and this reply too) I would be eternally greatfull.

I bought from brothers. Alot of items, like small ones, only item that was back ordered was the bowtie for the grill on the 67. Everything else came in good time and so did the bowtie piece.

Wow! After all of the bad posts about these guys, I wasn't expecting to get much of a response (if any). But they seem to be on top of things. I got a nice e-mail from John Lawrence (sales manager) besides the stuff that Steve posted.
Blazin72 and others, please keep us informed as to how everything works out....

Riveted1,

As I mentioned before, we come the the forum often. We've seen the posts about our nice catalog, bad prices etc, etc, etc... Oh man, how we would love to answer every one of them, but we just try to bite our tounge, learn from the posts, and do things here, internally, that will eliminate any further problems of that type. You guys are entitled to your opinions and to a forum free of "spam" from us "vendors". If we rebutted every bad post, it would muddy up the forum and make it look like we were just blowing smoke up your tailpipe, and that's not our intention or style. Thanks to everyone again, and we will continue to monitor this forum and others and interject as we see necessary.

Steve,
I went back and looked at my paperwork and you were right. I am sorry that I said it was Brothers when in fact it was Classic ind. that I had the problem with. Once again I apologize.

Steve, I think that is great. There is nothing worse than going to a forum that is "polluted" by vendors and their employees trying to push their products. That's what your forum is for. I must say that the other vendors on this forum are pretty good at keeping a neutral stance, too. That's refreshing in these days. Anyway, I'm glad that you guys are paying attention to what people are saying. Keep up the good work. You have found a new customer in me.

Thanks for the responses, Steve. At least it shows that you have enough integrity to care, and try to correct the problems.

Sadly to say, that my one and only experience with Brothers was a bad one, a couple of years ago. ( It took 4 months and half a dozen phone calls to finally get the merchandise I ordered) After that, I took my several thousand $$ worth of business somewhere else.

Eddie,

Sorry to hear that your experience was a bad one. I hope however, that you found someone who took care of you the way you expected while you were spending those thousands If you ever need anything else, I want you to consider giving us another chance to help you. Feel free to call myself or John Lawrence directly if it will give you some added piece-of-mind.

I am really glad to see Steve come on and address some of these concerns. I have been working with Brothers for years and really like the top quality of their parts and people. Like any bigger company handling their volume of business, some things can go wrong, but I have always been able to fix everything with their help.

Whoa! That was weird! Filice, your last post, and my quote from your post stated something totally different before I submitted my post. What the hell happened?

I talked to them this morning and they said that they would handle it (that's all I ever wanted in the first place!) it's sad that it ever had to come this board. I could have called and bit@#ed and yelled and probably gotten the same result, but why? Why should I have to! I'm glad that Steve responded, it shows that brothers at least cares. But Steve you insult me when you call me a liar! Everythig I wrote in that post is the truth (exept i actualy purchased the coulumn in sept. 01) it's not my fault your employees don't know your invetory! I chose to wait, but I never imagined it would be this long, now G.M. discountinued the part and I'm left without. After waiting this long I may not be able to find a nos shift lever, but had you told me sooner i probably could have.

Blazin', I'm not taking up for Steve here, but when did he call you a liar? I reread his post and couldn't find it. He did say that some of his employees gave you some BS stories, but that was about it. It does suck that it took this long for some action to be taken, (and I know you're frustrated) but sometimes you have to b&^#$ and moan to get stuff done. Especially when it comes to larger companies. I hope they get your stuff cleared up so that you can finish your project!

I like brothers very much and have never had a problem with any of their parts, personell or service. their catalogue is the BEST in my opinion clear discriptions and color photos of all their parts. Go bro you will always get a nod from me.

Hope Brothers response will generate a good will for everyone involved.....

Generally when people have a problem....rather than go further up the chain to resolve an issue it dies there.....but continues in stories.....

I find sooner or later by making more calls that the big majority of issue will settle themselves....

I would like to take this time to praise "Mother Truckers". Ed is a Brother's vender. When my body mounts did not arrive with my sheet-metal, I e-mailed Ed to inquire about my order. (Was not complaining, just wanted to be sure they received my entire order since the sheet metal arrived in less than a week.) Ed e-mailed me back immediately and explained that the mounts were coming from "Brothers" directely, and it may take longer to arrive than the rest of my order (much further away). He also followed through and let me know when my mounts were shipped out from Brothers. I got them exactly when Ed predicted, and was once again thrilled with another great transaction with Mother Truckers! "Brother's" should be proud to be represented by a vendor like Ed! Thanks, Joe Bob.

i ordered my cab mounts from brothers last summer and was pleased with the service, but being still in high school money is very tight and i have learned how to shop for bargains (thank God for swap meets), i generally dont order out of a catalog unless it is something like cab mounts that you cant buy at meets, as for vendors being quite on this board that is a good thing but all of us guys do thier advertising for them if you really think about it, i know how frustrating things can get sometimes and i am glad to see that Steve stepped in and said something, but in my book you have quality first, and then customer service second, without those two things you dont have a buisness.
