Re: 1956 Chevy 3100 Corvette Suspension
Thanks Kabwe....as far as the doors go...they aren't as bad as I was expecting but they do need a little bit of work to get them right. Other than that they seem solid. I have the one piece window kit for them so we will see what kind of mess that is to install.

Re: 1956 Chevy 3100 Corvette Suspension
You gotta stop taking pictures on weird angles like that. The pic of your firewall looks like you cut the entire roof off including the pillars. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the next pic and realized that you hadn't. Your project is looking great. Good luck the rest of the way.

Here are some new pictures of the cab. I have both new doors mounted and they are being fitted. I also have the cowl shaved and some other work being done on the cab.

Here is another picture of the new door. I'm also having the entire dash smoothed as well. I will get some pics of that as it comes along.

Re: 1956 Chevy 3100 Corvette Suspension
Some more work has been done on the cab. The custom dash is in. It just needs to be finished. The steps and rockers are all smoothed. The doors aren't 100% done but they are close. The driver side of the firewall was smoothed to match the passenger side.

Here is another picture of the dash. They have to smooth the rest of the dash where the headlight switch goes. It's coming along.

Wow! That cab turned out really sharp. Looks like they got those new doors to fit really well.

Re: 1956 Chevy 3100 Corvette Suspension
The doors are almost there. They still need a little bit more work but overall they fit really nice. They were definitely the most difficult part of the cab.

Re: 1956 Chevy 3100 Corvette Suspension
The cab work is about 99% done. Finally got the cab sitting on the frame again. The one piece window kit is finally in. The welds just need to be cleaned up but they are in and 100% functional. The doors were such a pain to get right. Had to heat them and all kinds of extra work to get the spacing right. Now it's time for assembly of the entire front and final alignment of the doors and front fenders.
