Maybe you should brace the back frame rails apart with some square tube and then remove the back cross member. If you weld in some square tube it will keep the rails in place and stay strong but will allow the removal of that factory cross member and give you the room to bring the tank back some.

Just an idea.. I like what you have so far.

Re: Chevy 51" original Texas truck,,now in Holland

Thanks, that is a good idea..
When I have the tags, and licence plate, I am going to bring it
More to the back of the truck.. For now, I can not weld or do
Things to the chassis, otherwise I will never get a licence plate..

you have several Mexico plates. Are you from there? Just curious. Truck is coming along nicely. I like seeing trucks being built over seas. Keep up the great work.

A Hagen battery? Don't they make ice cream?
I admire your determination considering all the trouble of registering an old imported vehicle and the difficulty obtaining parts.
Since I'm part Dutch, I have no choice but to subscribe.
P.S. Boss are nice wheels

Re: Chevy 51" original Texas truck,,now in Holland

Thanks everyone for the comments..

I work all over the world, I am a supervisor for greenhouse construction.
The last 3 years I was working in Monterrey/ Mexico.. Just under Texas.
Now I am in Bejing, China..
And I work many times in The USA. I like it a lot there, I see a lot of nice cars there..
So every where I come I take home some licence plates.. Some kind of hobby.
I visit a lot of different country's, so my shop is almost full with plates..

This site is really good, a lot of information, and nice people that help other Chevy fans, The last years I got a lot of information from all of your builds, I check the site everyday...

Now I have to wait for 2 weeks more, then I can install the frontend, and new Wheels... Pictures will follow..
Thanks Guys...
