Thanks! These are BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2's 33x10.50x15 on 15x6 wheels. Firestone said they would not put them on 6 inch rims because the manufacturer recommends 7-9 inch rims. However 4wheelparts was happy to install them on the stock 6 inch rims. They said if the tires wear in the middle too much I can try a lower tire pressure or get wider rims.

Are you sure that is only 2" of lift? It looks taller than that...

Yep it's a Tuff Country 2" lift kit with 3" springs in the back. I actually did all my research on lift/tire combo's on this website and searched under "33x9.50 tires" which was what I originally wanted. I ended up with 33x10.50's like Sooner's but thought that the 4" lift was too tall for a skinny 33" tire.

Re: New 33" BFG's on stock 4x4

How is the noise on the mud terrains? I'm thinking of doing the same thing, just not sure if mud or all terrains would be better. I have heard mud terrains are softer and wear a lot faster, any body know?

Re: New 33" BFG's on stock 4x4

I had 305s BFG Mudders on my 02 2500 HD and they do not make very much noise at all and I put 55,000 miles on them before they needed changed. BFs wear real good for a mud tire.
I was told these Mickey Thompsons would last along time as well and they are not very loud either but do make more noise then the BFGs did.
33/12.50 on 17x9s with 5"bs and 2.5' lift.

Re: New 33" BFG's on stock 4x4

I was really surprised on how quiet they were. I have always run the a/t's and when I bought mine last May they were temporarily out of the a/t's so that's how I ended up with the m/t's. Very happy with them so far.

I have 33 x 12.5 x 15 on my K-10 with stock suspension (new shocks) and they do rub the front bottom corner of the fender but only in reverse with the the wheel turned.

I'm on the national waiting list for a set of BFG A/T in 32 x 11.5 x 15

How wide are the wheels that the 33x12.50's are on?

thanks, unfortunately those are some mega-cheap pep-boy tires that came on another truck I bought and switched over before I drove them. There is basically NO sidewall strength to them at all so there is plenty of front end drift and you can basically feel the truck lean over the sidewall in turns. Waiting on the 32" BFGs

I would love to see a pic of your olds btw. my first car was a '75 cutlass supreme 2-door, loved that car. maybe you could pm me one......

My truck is sitting level in the front because when I did the 8-lug front disc conversion I changed out the coil springs. I installed late model 1-ton springs from NAPA.

I agree! Massive rims remind me of wagon wheels, the skinny side walls seem to let you feel every bump in the road.
