I think I'm gonna go a total of six inches to get the 22.5's with tires under the truck.

Is this stuff for sale? If so maybe you could be the middle man, make some for your effort and make parts available on this site.
Just an idea Paul

Re: C30 Camper Special Owner Needs Advice.

Quick question for everyone. Does anyone know a part number off the top of their head for a set of 2" lift blocks for the 1 ton's? I recall I found some somewhere but now I can't remember for the life of me where.

Re: C30 Camper Special Owner Needs Advice.

I ordered new tailgate light lenses, but I cant; figure out the wiring for the life of me. I also discovered that one of my upper cab running lights has a missing contact in the socket and needs replacing.

Thanks for the info on the lift blocks, I'll be picking up a set.

Re: C30 Camper Special Owner Needs Advice.

So I took another look at the wiring and it seems that two of the five lights work. I may clip it all apart and put new wires into the tailgate. While it was apart I did notice one of the lights had completely rusted apart so I'll be looking for one new light to replace that.

Re: C30 Camper Special Owner Needs Advice.

if 2 of 5 work, it's most likely the lights. one of the mounting screws is a ground, which attaches to the light via a metal bar & a plug-most problems start here (rust). i had 3 of 5 on mine, after cleaning, had all 5, then found replacements lites for a couple dollars

I ended up using a vendor and ordered some replacement lights today for the tailgate. I'm trying to find some spare lights from the dually fenders that match my OEM one's. I mistakenly ordered a set online that look like complete crap. I only need one amber and one red fender light set, the search is killing me. LOL.

Also I found out the aluminum trim on the fender pieces have broken bolts... I'm going to try and separate the bolts from the trim and replace them, I'd like to keep this truck looking vintage.

BTW, What are you guys doing for floor mats in these trucks? I can't seem to find anything that looks like a decent fit.

Re: C30 Camper Special Owner Needs Advice.

front ones are a dime a dozen, but rears can be tough. i got my rear at the wrecking yard out of a 07 chev crew. newer model gm & ford crew rear mats are usally full width 1 piece, & easily trimmable to fit

Are you implying that I can grab mats from any full size truck and the fronts will usually work? I was hoping to find something similar to a WeatherTech style mat to keep the snow under control.

Re: C30 Camper Special Owner Needs Advice.

my fronts i went with aftermarket mud holders. the backs can be hard to find in a 1 piece( i like the one piece), but most new crews have them. i'm sure you could find some nice ones at a price, i was just throwing out my low buck approach

Nothing wrong with a low buck approach. I'm going to continue my search and use your advice. A one piece rear mat would be awesome!

Anyone know where I can find a factory cab running light?
