Re: headlight upgrades?
Here's a link, that's the best deal I've seen on them. Not sure why some places list them as 100/80 watt, but they are 80w low beam/100w high beam.

Re: headlight upgrades?
They'll be better but the beam pattern will still be the same, and headlights get dimmer over time as the reflectors degrade. At least get new halogen sealed beams.

Re: headlight upgrades?
Yes. Well worth the effort and expense even with your current headlights. When you get done with the mod, it won't be a "I think it's definitiely brighter". It will be a "crap, that's tons brighter, no doubt". I've been on here like 10 years and probably built about that many trucks in that time and I do the relay mod to every one of my trucks. That should tell you that it gives great results. And I have never bought any headlight beyond a normal parts store 8 dollar Halogen light for any of my trucks. Nothing fancy for me.

Re: headlight upgrades?
So, some have had issues with vhCoachworks.
Is there another kit you'd recommend?

Re: headlight upgrades?
If you're asking me, I know nothing about going the kit route and which person to buy from.
If you have the desire, relays and all the various things needed are ridiculously cheap. Then it's just a matter of doing the work. I understand, some folks don't care to. Whatever is right for you.

Re: headlight upgrades?
My headlights are currently FUBAR, so I'm tasking my nephew - the electrical specialist - with whipping up a harness. I could do it (and was going to) but I've been looking for something he can do on the truck.

It doesn't appear they have one for the four headlamp grills.

Re: headlight upgrades?
there is no difference between a 2 headlamp and 4 headlamp upgrade. same number of filaments, just double the number of glass housings. wiring a 4 headlamp system is exactly the same. hope this helps

Re: headlight upgrades?
I have been running this setup for several years and I really like it. Hella E-Code reflector lamps and Hella H4 bulbs. Very bright.

Re: headlight upgrades?
Rickywideglide, I was wondering about running motorcycle headlights on my 64 since you can find a bunch of 7" headlights for bikes. Is that what you ran? Also did you replace your grill if so were did you get it?
