Over 26 years and still going strong.

Drive it everyday (unless I'm driving a company car).

Sweet sweet sweet truck! How's your gas mileage? But then again with a truck like that who cares about gas mileage!

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

Here's my first truck, a 78 Silverado. I started driving it at 16 and I got hit head on when I was 18. It was totalled. Before it was mine, my dad bought it about 7 years before I started driving and added about 100K miles to what it already had.

Many months later I got this truck as the replacement. Still driving it to this day. Never owned more than one vehicle at any given time.

Of course I don't drive it daily with the drag radials on the back though.

I'm wanting another vehicle in addition to the truck however, simply because I need something to drive while doing serious work to the truck. Just too much of a burden for some projects if I need to have it back together and driving the next day. I will say that the Holley 750 double pumper is basically a large high performance funnel to pour gas into the motor at an alarming rate. Getting a bit expensive to drive these days.

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

I am what I call semi-retired or is it just tired, lol. I really need to down-size the number of vehicles I have, but since most of them are special use I am stuck for now.

I don't have any one vehicle that is my daily driver. Each one of my vehicles is kind of special use.

Yesterday I used a '92 K-3500 to tow home the '75 C-30 I just bought to use fix up and use as a farm truck.

I have a '86 Toyota 4-Runner that I use for light hauling and bad weather vehicle.

The '67 swb stepper that my oldest son and I built late last year normally just keeps the garage full and special occasion driver.

The 2011 Kia Soul is used to take long trips and for my wife to drive back and forth to work.

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

This is my DD 1978 Jimmy. She has a 400, th350, part time np203. My best friend has affectionately named her the FrankenJimmy since she's been put together with the a front clip from a '78 K10, driver door from a '85 K10, rear seat and tailgate from a 79 K5. I'll soon be adding a rear window from an '86 K5.

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

Slammed427 's wheels are 20" spares off a Dodge fullsize truck. He probably running adapters or redrilled rotors/axles to get from the stock 5x5.0" to the Dodge 5x5.5".
