Has anyone dressed and clean their engine bay with the engine still in. And if so can I see some pics and how hard is it to do so. Any tips would be greatful. Thanks and merry Christmas.

heres mine in the 1976, nothing fancy I'm a kinda anti-bling person, aside from block 30 over its all new or restored from radiator to rear diff.

First 2 pics is a 350/400 combo going in my 2wd stepside. Second 2 pics is a 510 bigblock going in my friends 2wd prostreet K5.

This is mine when i wasn´t on the streets!
Now it isn´t that clean anymore! The rear main seal leaks oil, header gaskets blow by on both sides and the aluminum intake has some oil under the carb on the driversside and some water shows up behind the heateroutlet and the valvecovers also leak!  I´m planning an overhaul before next season!  Volker

I have them on for 4 years now and they still are ok.I had one clamp failure with a heater hose because i checked them and over tightend! Meanwhile i changed all clamps for higher quality. They still look good but get very hot so touching them with the engine running causes burning the fingers and the forehead- believe me!
 Anyway i´d like to change the hoses to black rubber and those slick thermoplastic clamps! http://www.gates.com/brochure.cfm?br...ocation_id=546 Volker

Not a beauty queen but I think I did ok for my first time ever touching/taking apart an engine. + I'm a girl...hindsight is 20/20 I should have primed first at least once, next time I think I'll prime twice.

cfan. its not priming that is the big thing but just making sure that its all clean and grease free. ask how i know all to well after cleanig lol

I will get a better pic tomorrow. '75 Stingray 350 2 bolt main bored .030 over, mild cam, stock other than that. We put the script valve covers on it with the oil fill intake to give it that old school look. This is going in our '69 step that we are dressing up to look like a '67 step. We have some black longtubes goin on this engine, and bolted to the headers will be some Purple Hornies and that will be it. This thing is gonna scream
