Re: A/C cab ?
The vintage air unit I put in my 72 Camaro, the heat never worked like the factory unit. I wouldn't use one again if I ever built another Camaro.

Re: A/C cab ?
[QUOTE=AusTx68;5784633]I added a Vintage Air system to my non AC cab. My firewall is smooth so I couldn't go with the out-of-the-box setup.
Personally I would avoid a stock AC setup. That technology is 40+ years old. The new aftermarket systems are highly efficient and do a great job. [QUOTE] There's nothing wrong with a stock a/c system. They worked great back then and will again. Sealing up the cab is more of the issue. And many people do not properly charge a retro'd 134 system.

[QUOTE=Andy4639;5781307][B][COLOR="Red"]Graham57a,
See if this works. You will need the AC when we head out in June for the Power Tour. Texas will be a little warmer than here I would think.[ The humidity should help a lot though. I wish I was going to have AC, but if I'm taking Jane I will barely have the funds to get the paint and wheels. I'll just roll my window down and drive fast!!!

In both installs, the heater (and defrost) would/will cook me outta there if I don't turn it down. Of course, it doesn't get much below 20 degrees F in the winter here.

Re: A/C cab ?
I think that depends on where you live. Here is Texas I have heard plenty complaints about the performance of a stock system. With that said, I'm sure someone from Texas will say there's works fine. It comes down to what gives you the best comfort for your weather conditions.
