Re: Anyone seen the new mcdonalds commercial?

Are they camping next door to a McDonalds or eating cold burgers? I grille my own when camping and staying out of town is the whole idea. Anyway,I'm going to town now. Gotta try one of those dollar burgers

I am real interested in knowing how it came about that you got your truck in the commercial.. if you dont mind sharing,,I read on craigs list all the time some movie guy or gal asking to use a classic car of someones in a video but never find out if it really happens.. just curious ,,not trying to get mine in a movie ,,lol

Re: Anyone seen the new mcdonalds commercial?

Thanks Gopapa,
My friend is a teamster driver and finds cars for commercials and films. He put me in contact with his friend who needed a truck. Simple really, they found me.

Re: Anyone seen the new mcdonalds commercial?

when I first saw that commercial I had to stop and rewind a few times just to prove to my family I was right. a short view and I picked year, make, model, option package and the first review I blurted out the changes made. wife just shook her head and my son looked at me like I was a circus freak. they just don't understand.

I think until 69 or so, GM used chevy bumpers on the gmc trucks.
And you gotta look quick to see the shoulder belts...

The truck has the original 67 bumper but yes, I did add the shoulder belts. Not original to the truck when I bought it.

Re: Anyone seen the new mcdonalds commercial?

I'm putting an LS motor in it right now so it's in a bit of disassembly. I'll post some pics when I'm done. It has an original bucket seat option and I had it covered with leather that is as close as I could get to the original color with a similar stitch pattern. I like the stock look and so it will stay that way. I also like trucks to have a bit of age to them. I'm a carpenter and this truck is my daily driver so I'm just going to use it like a carpenter owned it.
