Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
that is a good question, i have been thinking about that for some time now. i know the truck is going to be black with some blue (fram color blue) trim. It will not be slamed or bagged, i've never really liked that look too much. there will be absolutely no chrome either. bumpers (yes bumpers, no roll pans for me) will be black and will have a blacked out phantom grill, but the core support behind the grill will be blue and the radiator/condencer will be anodized blue as well. 3" cowl induction hood. and when i say no chrome i mean the motor as well, the motor will be the zz383 with an edelbrock e-tec supercharger, the scoop on the supercharger will be backward facing so as to make the cowl functional, given that i can make all that fit under that hood. i have seen pictures of trucks that did fit them under there. all hotchkis suspension and willwood 6 piston disc brakes up front and the 4 piston disk brakes in the rear. with that brake setup you have to have at least 18" rims so i will be going with these, but will be painting the lip blue 20x8 front 20x10 rear.

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
the rtuck also origonaly had the wooden bed in it, that will be going back in, and all door handles and side parker lamps as well as the filler neck will be shaved. fuel tank will be rear mounted with the filler neck in the bottom of the bed.

Re: 71' (gonna be) a one of a kind custom
So when I was putting the upper control arms on I replaced the upper control arm studs as well. I ordered the studs from one place (don't really want to say where, not sure if they are a sponsor on here) and they looked funny to me, didn't think much of it and tried to put them on. the plined part of the shaft ended up being entirely too long. reordered more (from the same place) thinking that I either ordered the wrong ones or maybe they accidently shipped the wrong ones. Much to my disappointment, they came in identical. Took me quite some time to find another place that sold the correct ones, but they came in today and fit perfectly. If you are looking for these studs, pm me and I will let you know where I got them.

I desperately need two of these washers, these are the washers for the upper control arms. Somehow I managed to loose two of them. If anybody knows where they can be bought, please let me know. The ones LMC sells are wrong. Thanks everybody! Posted via Mobile Device
