Re: would you trade a 63 longbed for 56 wagon?

Sorry.
I didn't mean to come across that I didn't like four doors.
Yes I have owned a couple tri five for doors, and I loved them.
Alot of people do.

I was thinking more on the line of the are there more people in love with the two door over the four door.

You can make your own, I wouldn't destroy a 54 Vette and a 55 Nomad, but people have. The first time I saw one was at a show in Spokane, he said he used a Nomad and a Corvette, makes me cringe to think about...

Not that I need to clarify my position, but I will.

when I made the above comments about 2dr versus 4dr, it was solely for wagons.
I have zero interest in regular 4dr cars. Just my preference.
I get offered 4drs all the time on trade and turn them down.
Just not my thing.

But a 4dr wagon is

Re: would you trade a 63 longbed for 56 wagon?

being an old car guy----4 doors are making a comeback. my nef-u has 2 kids, has been a car guy as his dad is. 4 doors with kids is where it's at. 56 buick sdn. Im 6-2 and with the seat all the way back in my nomad you would have to to be twiggy to fit between the seat and pillar. nomad is gone now to a friend. 4 door sdn's or hard-tops is where it's coming to as the 2 doors are gone.

Re: would you trade a 63 longbed for 56 wagon?

Well, I recently just did a similar thing... I sold my '65 C10 and bought a '64 Chevy II wagon. I still have two other truck projects so it's not like I don't have other trucks to play with but the wagon was too nice to pass up.

Out with the old

In with the new

Re: would you trade a 63 longbed for 56 wagon?

well i checked out the wagon. its in pretty rough shape. its got little dents everywhere. horrible filler work. $350 dollars worth of broken windows. the driver seat padding is nonexistent. the only good thing is that the motor fired rite up. im guessing he warmed it up a little while before i came over. im pretty much over it, but i had to ask you guys. i know its going to need a A LOT of real body massaging but i think im up to that task. but do you guys think its a good trade? i love wagons, i just dont know if this is the one...

Re: would you trade a 63 longbed for 56 wagon?

I allmost baught a 56 sedan delivery, back in the early 80s. Id have to sell my 81 GMC to aquire it, and the 56 was not quite road worthy. My 81 was my only means of transportation. Kick my ass today for not selling the truck and buying a cheap bycicle and a 56!

Re: would you trade a 63 longbed for 56 wagon?

You guys out on the west coast crack me up, saying the car is pretty rough, come to the mid-west, we'll show you a rough car. I would not pass that wagon up. Take the wagon ans some cash for your truck. Trucks can be replaced easily and reasonably.
