Re: color... wheatland or ochre

I never took pictures of the solid Ochre '72 SWB BBC Highlander I had. Here's a lousy night picture of the '71 Cheyenne Custom Camper and one of the '71 Custom Deluxe K/10 I had 30 years ago. Ochre is a nice color. It's yellow without being to "sunshine":

Re: color... wheatland or ochre

note that for your super, the only "custom cloth" interior color options are parchment, olive, blue - yours being parchment of course. many folks assume black custom cloth was a factory seat cover. Just in case you're tempted... I'm always torn on parchment - sometimes I love it, it LOOKS great - and then I think, hmm, do I want to live with a white seat and door panels? In the case of an ochre truck, there is no option, it's the only color that will look "right" (for an original "custom cloth", i.e. houndstooth seat cover, which your super came with). In lower level trim levels, all of the interior colors in tim's post above are available - and in supers, all those vinyl colors are available in buckets. But if you ordered the bench in a super, blue/olive/parchment were the only choices.

Good point on the colors. Even though Chevy would allow color combinations other than recommened they still had to be offered on that model and trim level. For example red was not available in the 71-72 light(10-30) trucks and saddle while a nice color was not offered as a Cheyenne Super cloth color nor black. Parchment is pretty much the only color choice for an Ochre Cheyenne Super with cloth. Saw a blue interior ochre truck and it was different to say the least.

I always wondered why my Super is ochre with an olive bench. That makes a lot of since, guess it's not as odd as I thought.
