Re: 69 Chevelle Fuel Tank Install

It a very slick installation. Im afraid you may have one problem with it though. The upturned filler neck keeps the gas from sloshing back out of the tank.
I hope Im wrong in this case.

Re: 69 Chevelle Fuel Tank Install

I was concerned with the fuel coming out the cap.... it has a brand new non-vented cap and it does not leak.... over time though... with the gasket drying out, it may start leaking. I have thought about doubling up the gasket. If needed, I can lower the tank and angle it more which is why I have not cut the excess off of the straps I made....

nice job , i put a jeep gran cherokee tank in my 68 long bed with ls power , the tank you chose i think would have been a better option , the fill tube being the number one reason

Slick setup, really like it. How many gallons does your tank hold?

Re: 69 Chevelle Fuel Tank Install

How difficult is it to get to the 4 rear most bed bolts for installation and removal of the bed? Can it be done with the tank installed or do you have to drop the tank for bed removal/installation?
