There is a thread that used Testors Model paint.

They compared it too original, and it was Right. ??

This is just a Referance Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/39342927599...115e6675250cb1

Maybe someone remembers this??

That is the one I added a drop of flat red to in order to better match the needle base color. I did go back & airbrush over the hand-painted & it does look beter that way. 40:1 ratio, orange to red. The truck stays in the garage , or at least it has for the last 20 years of its life, so it should not fade for a while.

That marking spray paint does look good though, an excellent match.

Just picked up a bottle of this yesterday at hobby lobby, going to give it a whirl. That $1.99 bottle is now $2.85, don't sound like much but that's about 40%

Sometimes Hobby Lobby has a 40% off sale.

I used Krylon Flourescent Red on the C/10's Speedo and Fuel Gaude years ago.
Still bright.
I took a sheet of school paper, cut a 5'' slit, and placed it between the needle and the black gauge face. Some scotch tape on the paper to make it a shallow cone. Light shots of the spraypaint, and let it dry overnight. Cut the paper away. Perfect.
