Re: 1960 K-20 transfercase shift boot
Wonder if Powerpadguy could come up with a mold? I know that there are very few of us trying to restore factory 4x4's. And these boots are ultra rare and cost is crazy for them, kinda like the power pad petals.

Thanks J.Kirn and 60-66. Those look nothing like the ones I have. LOL Oh well, wishful thinking.

Re: 1960 K-20 transfercase shift boot
Why the two different part #'s ? Is one a Napco #(2389300) and the other the GM # (668870) ? Also, I'm assumming that dealers were still putting left over Napco powerpaks on their trucks in 60 & 61 ? instead of ordering factory 4x4's?

Re: 1960 K-20 transfercase shift boot
Mitch, 668870 is the part number after 1970 in the parts history and parts book, it was superceded by 2389300 or earlier part number. Either are 60-66 . The 2389300 is also a GMC part number

Re: 1960 K-20 transfercase shift boot
Thanks for your posts.
\ I used a shift boot from 63 Ford Galaxie. The round one for a four speed no console car. 1962-64 FORD GALAXIE 4 SPEED SHIFT BOOT C2AZ7277A $26.99 on old ebay. Fit perfectly. About an 1/8" smaller outside diameter. Drilled two new holes in it so I could use my old hold down ring. |
