Re: delay wiper switch

I just picked up the ford switch system at the local pull a part. Does anyone know how to wire this to the stock 2 sp motor. I have the diagrams for both systems but can not seem to get the ford units to work with the motor.

Re: delay wiper switch

I use rainX on my windscreen. We get plenty of rain here and with rainX I rarely use my wipers

Re: delay wiper switch

If you can wait just a little longer, there is going to be an affordable wiper delay available for the '60-'66 trucks. It is a simple plug and play, and the wipers park every time.

Re: delay wiper switch

That is a nice system. Instead of mounting the box with its switch mounted in it I would prefer the switch to be able to mounted remotely. This way the switch could be mounted in the choke hole.

Personally I would rather be able to get the ford system to work since it would only require 1 switch.

Re: delay wiper switch

That is what Bill is currently working on....a remotely located control for the delay. That way you can put it wherever you want it. This is the best and simplest add on wiper delay I have seen yet.

Sorry I don't know anything about the f**d system.

Thanks John for the kind words. The delay is in it's final stage of adaptation for the 60-66 MY's. I am going to settle on a bracket for the control. The buyer could use the bracket or choose to mount the control in a suitable 5/16" hole. These units will be available (limited quanity)by the end of this week.

I decided I wanted one set up in the empty choke slot on the dash. At the time I had an 84 ford beater that I drove into the ground. I checked and the switch fit the position almost perfectly. When I showed it to my mechanic, he said it was a piece of cake to make it work. He did have to use individual wires instead of a plug but thats nothing IMO.
Do you know how he adapted the 77 motor to fit the old motors location. I went to the pull a part yard today and the motors are quite a bit different.

Thanks
