Haha yeah, we're thinking somebody had this as a "show truck" before it needed up here. They welded the front clip solid and had it hinged backward, they had those seats it it (which my grandpa said they were custom and nice when he got it), and just a few other things that kind of made it seem like a possible old show truck.

It's been down there since before I was born. They wrecked it, which is why the front clip isn't there. So he ended up with it.

Ran the vin yesterday, turns out it's a 55, not a 58. And it was a fleet side, which I kind of figured. Which me luck on trying to find a bed.

Nope.
I guess I'm going to try to track down the original owner. And see if they know anything, and see if they have any pictures of it. I'm curious about what it used to look like.

Yeah I hear ya, I like these ones..I've grown to prefer the Step sides over the Fleet-sides on these years

I talked to my grandpa farther, he said he bought it exactly how it looks now. When he bought it, it was their project truck that they had just sitting in their backyard. They were moving out of town, and couldn't take it. Unfortunatly, he couldn't remember what their names were.
