No c-notch required. Read thru this thread, he used this method and it was the reason I ordered the same exact parts. His truck sits exactly the way I want mine. The pics of his truck showes how much drop the brackets gives the rear.

Do you have recommendations for shocks to run with this for the best ride? or could i pick up a stock set of shocks and run them? i know my shocks are gone in the back and im currently out on a boat and wont be back for awhile and just trying to get things figured out for when i get back. I would love to be able to run stock shocks cause i could throw them on for now til i get the brackets. if not ill run whatever you recommend. not looking for the latest and greatest but for a good budget not to kill my back while riding or my wallet while buying....

We ran the stock ones on ours. A lot of guys did air shocks. Some of them said they used front shocks on the rear. Thanks, Fred.

I'll be ordering a pair soon! And when mounting, does the side with more metal go on the front or rear of the pilot hole?

The hole is towards the front, the extra metal is towards the rear. This is so the axle moves back a bit.
