Hanly2, here is a picture of the spacer you asked about. It goes under the front mounting brackets of the console, so it aligns with the seats, and is the same height as the seats at the front. This pic is taken of the passenger side. It has a hole drilled through the centre, obviously, and the ground cable for the stereo amp is hooked to it also. You can see the track for the seat on the left side of the picture.

For my '63:
I'm not sure if these are '03 or '04, but these are manual seats from Silverado. I cut off the seatbelt system and had to weld a few cracks in the seat pan. Modifying the fixed back buddy seat into a folding seat / armrest. They are at an upholstery shop now. They will build up springs/webbing and foams from scratch to replicate the late 60's buddy buckets like these black seats in the second picture. I will use distressed brown Ultraleather. Will keep you posted.
