On my 76 I did not I did on my 69, or should I say the wife suggested MAYBE that's why you have sooo many extra bolt when you get done. She may have a point?

Re: How many of us are out there.

Myself and most of my "car guy" friends have a junk buggy. a tool buggy that we use for random storage of little parts and hardware. we used to play a game when i worked at the offroad shop. when we were drinking beer after work we would take turns asking the others "whats this from" and hold up a specialty bolt or little bracket. it was pretty funny and we all usually got it right. it was pridefull occasion when you could produce something you remembered and no one else could.

Re: How many of us are out there.

I love the tear down and take apart stage a little too much sometimes, and don't take the time to stop and bag and tag stuff. I always say that I'm going to be more organized on the next project and label and bag everything, but it rarely happens. I will put bolts back in place sometimes after I remove a part. Sometimes I will use that lovely camera feature on my cell phone to take a picture of linkage assemblies or wire routing, which I've found makes it easier for reassembly a year later!!
