Re: Protection from bugs on the front of our square body P/U.

I've got the "grandpa" style on the front of my '85. Surprised how many bugs still make it thru to the windshield, though, I don't think it works that well. But I actually don't like the look of my truck as much without it, so it stays on.

thats a real nice one, havn't seen that type
reminded me, i've got the winter/summer one that has hardware bolted on the grill
hardware wrecked the grill, not that nice,I just use bits of wire instead of the hardware
but on a night drive/trip just that screen mesh is great for blinded bugs
a friends dad used to remove his grill,
stretch screen over the grill, and put it back in

3M 90000 Paint Defender Spray... 3M 90000 Paint Defender Spray...
3m 9000. Spray this on and peel it off. This will protect the paint from small pebbles (maybe?). And the bugs will peel off with it I would assume. They will still stick to the window but window washing fluid is good for that

Sorry but not my truck. Just a photo from the 73-87 Chevy & GMC Trucks FB page. The guy mentioned that he ordered it in the late 80's.
