Re: All right vacuum gauge gurus

I had a nice Pontiac one all stored away in my shop loft for a future fit into my cluster. The other day I was looking for another part, when the vacuum gauge fell out of the box and bounced all the way down the stairs.
For some reason it doesn't work anymore. :-(

How are you testing it? With it hooked to an engine or with a vacuum pump? Vacuum gauges will not hold vacuum when you are using a hand help vacuum pump. They need constant vacuum from the engine.

Maybe a stupid question but did it work before you stored it? Does it appear to be damaged, that you can see?

Hope this helps,
Tom

Re: All right vacuum gauge gurus

I sucked on the hose. (no innuendo)
It would go from 0 to however much suction I could give.
Now it won't move at all.
