Re: Heading to "The Big One" Swap Meet in Peotone, IL, this weekend, June 9, 2013

I'm not 100% sure, either. Haha. Something about the l6 pulls the clutch and the v6-8 pushes or opposite of that. If the push rod placement on the clutch pedal and mounting holes look the same, I'll definitely take it. All the other rods and stuff look the same as the lmc book. The v8 bellcrank has a kink in it, the l6 doesn't. The pedals may look different because of the year difference. There is actually a thread on this site that talks about the differences. Seems like it could get confusing. If the stuff looks the same as your other truck, I'll take it. Just check it out when you get a chance and let me know.

I pulled the pedal out of the 72 C10 tonight. Here are a couple pictures but they did not turn out very good. I can get more tomorrow.

Heck, I don't know. Haha. Is that one different from the other one you had the pic of? The 72 is a 6cyl, right?

Do the 72 pedals push or pull the bell crank?

The main difference that I see is that the clutch return spring is huge on the 72 compaired to the other one. I think the first pedal assy. I showed you was a 68 C20 V8 4 speed (I bought the truck without engine and transmission) and this one is out of a 72 C10 that I bought without engine or transmission. The 72 did not have any engine stands and had an auto crossmember in it so I have nothing to go by there but it does have a 3:73 rear gear ratio which is usually with a 6 cyl. because all the V8 Auto truck I have seen have 3.08 gears. I have never seen one of these trucks that pulled on the clutch lever but I have never had a 71-72 manual transmission truck either. I know my 68 C10 (original 6 cylinder 3 speed but now V8 3 speed) pushes on the clutch. I will put the 2 pedal beside each other and see if there is anything different other than the pedal return spring.

Ok. If the second pedal set looks like it operates the same way, we'll go with it and the rest of the stuff. If you can find a v8 bell crank, that would be awesome.

Does the main body of the bell crank have a small curve in it, or is it straight? If it has the curve, it will work. If it does, I'll take the second pedal set and all the parts from the first photo. Would you take $50 plus shipping to 36092 for it? I can paypal

Here is a picture of the 2 pedals together but the only difference I see is the clutch return spring. Looking at the parts in the picture of the pedal thread that you posted in earlier, it does look like the bell crank and the rod are different between mine and what they show is for a small block so my parts might not work. If the other one works out and you still need the frame bracket then I do have extra of them also. Let me know. Thanks.

What would it cost shipped for all the rods and stuff and the pedals with the light spring to 36092? Does the Nell crank have a small kink in the body of it?

$80.00 shipped UPS for everything in the original picture. Here are a few more pictures of the bell crank. The arms do angle slightly. Do you mean something wrong with the round tube? I do not see anything wrong with it but hopefully the pictures will help. I have never taken a pedal assy. apart but it sounds like the clutch pedal will come apart from the rest. If you want me to take the pedal assy. apart and just get the clutch pedal parts, I can do that. It would drop the parts price and the shipping cost. Thanks

Ok, last question and I'll make my mind up. Haha. How much for the pedal assembly shipped? I found a hydraulic throwout bearing but don't know how reliable it would be. Trying to decide between the two.

Do you mean the complete part as pictured with both pedals and the bracket or are you thinking just the clutch pedal and the parts to add to your pedal assy.? I can get a price later today. Thanks

For the entire pedal assy., the shipping would be $22.37 UPS or $26.18 USPS. Thanks
