A-ha! I found the quick reply, I'll learn yet. You're already a step ahead that you won't have to worry about taking the steering column apart. To be truthful though, my first truck was an old Ford with a column shift and I actually miss those. I liked fitting 4 people across the bench comfortably but I can't stand automatics.

Its 3 on the floor conversion. At the moment the floor is bare metal. So do i NEED a high hump with the sm 420??

Its a 3love on the floor conversion. Do i NEED a a floor hump with the sm 420m?

Couldn't tell you much about the sm420 having never had one to mess around with but I can tell you that if you happen to fall upon an old GM in the boneyard with an sm465 in it, take the bellhousing with you. Chances are that you can use it for the 292 as well.
