Re: Jer's 64
I finished mounting the air bags, routing the hoses and the wiring this weekend! few more things to do and I can get this back on the ground and testing everything. Only a few more days until the car show I wanted to enter this weekend, so the time crunch is on! [IMG][/IMG]
my neighbor gave me his old set of 20's, not sure if i'm going to run them though because they are pretty grubby and a little pitted. what do you guys think? |

Re: Jer's 64
I finished all the air suspension tonight, but I can't air down the rear end all the way because the driveline hits. my question is, if I use spacers like I have in this pic is it ok for the spacers to bottom out on the rear end to keep the drive line from hitting and just let the rear end take the weight?[IMG][/IMG]
here you can see the small gap between the driveline and the cross member. I might just make a notch bracket and bolt it the cross member similar to one that Dino made on his 66. |

Re: Jer's 64
Once again, Travis from Pro Performance answered my questions from above, can't say enough about the quality of customer service from him! If anyone wants to bag their truck, i'd highly recommend going with the Pro2 Air Management kit from Pro Performance. The kit made the whole install surprisingly easy!!!

Re: Jer's 64
Really like your truck, and definitely keep the wheels you have on there. They look much better than those 20's in my opinion

thanks! Your dash turned out so nice, good job on that paint! Mine is primer gray right now, so I hope it will turn out as nice as yours if it ever gets painted. Quote:

Re: Jer's 64
thanks Bomp! The cab is pretty much gone and rusted out so this will be a much bigger project than the '64.
Thanks! The truck has been in the family since it was new, but its just been sitting there for about 10 years. thanks man! Quote:
thanks! now I get to tear it apart again and start on the motor swap! |

Re: Jer's 64
I've been having some problems with the charging system when the air compressors kick on. When the voltage gets low enough, the compressors shut off to keep from draining the battery. I got a one wire, high voltage alternator from summit and a yellow top Optima battery and everything seems to be working a lot better now!
