Re: "Nasty Nadine" 1969 Custom10 SWB Fleet
Hit the junkyard today. Scored some brown visors which turned out to be the bright blue I was looking for after I cleaned them. Just used some Clorox disenfecting wipes.
![]() ![]() ![]() Cleaned the clips but they didn't turn out as nice. I'll try some brillo pads next. ![]() ![]() Adjusted the float in the carb. Wouldn't start. Plugs were fouled bad so I swapped in another set. Still wouldn't start so I checked for spark and got nuttin'. Coil went cablooey, go figure. Luckily I had a spare coil cause they're just damn handy to have laying around. BANG! She fired up, but the miss was still there. So I tweaked the timing, then re-adjusted the float (supposed to be 1/4" it's now set at 1/2" until I can get a new brass float). retweaked the timing, then the idle air screw some more, then the timing again just for good measure. Ran a black mark down the street and she's humming good now. There's still a tiny tiny miss, hopefully the new float might cure, if not I'm not sure what's next. But I'm happy cause it's running good. ;}~ So my son Joe and I cleaned up the interior a little more. Wiped all the greasy fingerprints off of everywhere. He's only 2 so he more or less just wiped the windows down with the dirty rags haha. Tomorrow we ride. Posted via Mobile Device |

Holy smokes what a score on the visors, who could have guessed they would be such excellent condition under all that grime!

No more updates on this one. Sold it yesterday. I'll start a new thread on my Grandpa's 1970 LWB when I get started on it. Had to sell or loose my Grandpa's truck.
