Thanks Captfab, But the parts house by me have a new rag joint I'm goin to go pick up and make this one work today, kinda hard pushing around with no steering

Update, Still didn't get the steering coupling on the gear box, I brought two rag joints from different Auto Stores and each one was way to small one cracked almost in half..
I just picked up a rag joint rebuild kit and when I get bac in town from work I'm goin to pick a part and get a rag joint to rebuild because my original half the splines are grind down smooth from years of Service..
Have Anybody had Problems with incorrect size Rag joints???? Are having them Crack????

I don't remember just which one would be correct, but there are 3 different sizes and splines on the steering shaft/couplers. It is possible that the box you have may not really be the year that you think it is. It may have came off of a '72, but someone may have changed it for a different year box sometime in the last 41 years.

That's what I was starting to think Captfab, When I get back home I will pull the gear box and take to auto parts store see if I can have any luck if not then to pick a part and get a good used one...

Well I pulled my front clip back off to work on the steering shaft end and coupling rag joint... Since I had the the front off I decided to wet sand and prime also cleaned up the grill....
