That is probably actually a '67 frame. They don't have the dimple for clearance for the steering box. You should heat it up and indent it, so the steering will sit flush. It can crack your frame with the shims under it.

I had a '63 Chevy truck that the frame got ruined on because someone added a newer P/S set-up and shimmed the box like that...

If you still have that C-20 frame there, you could look at the factory indentation on it and try to duplicate it. That's what I did on my '67 C-30 when I added P/S.

hey man nice build! similiar to what me and my dad did! im 16 and we took my dads 67 c-10 and bought an old 4x4 frame from a local junkyard and stripped the frame, por-15 it, and converted the c-10 to a k-10. my truck has a 2 inch lift with 33's dual exhaust from the headers to some cherrybombs and out the back. after a year and a half the truck is finally done and im loving my ride! (well not the gas milage haha) have fun with your ride!

We assembled the front end with all new parts and 2.5 inch drop spindles the stock height springs. Started running some brake line too.

We bolted a flat bar across the frame and then bolted the two straps that run underneath the tank to the flat bar and the back of the frame.

Yes we make a great team. I work a few hours during the day and when he gets home from work we are working until dark. It has been this way just about everyday for 2 1/2 months. But we love it!!

Well my dad and I have started getting the bed ready for paint. We had to straighten the bulkhead and there are many patches we have to weld in the floor. The bed is in much rougher shape than the rest of the truck was.






The exhaust is all done and mounted except for the tailpipes.

You guys are making amazing progress. I don't think I could get a truck that far in 2 months ever! I built my first car with my dad; a 68 Chevelle. It took us 4 years but, I still have the car today and it feels so great getting behind the wheel with my dad.

Today I sandblasted the inside of my bed and the underneath. (What a mess that is) Tomorrow I am going to POR-15 the underneath and then sand the bedsides. Plan to be to the paint shop by the end of next week.

My wheels and tires came today!! They are 18'' Ridler 695 with the Gray finish. The tires are 255/55-18 Coopers mounted on all four corners.
