Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's
I'm using the truck 12 bolt, with a posi chunk. It's been narrowed to 51" from wheel face to wheel face (mounting face of brake rotor).

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's
So, correct me if I'm wrong ..
you put a 4" band in the wheel tubs and just pulled the inner lip of the tub over to the next wood board in the floor? The inner edge of the wheel well is now flush with the edge of the next board, rather than making the rounded cut like you would in a stock wood floor? If I recall that would be about 4" .. makes sense..

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's
Original-71, I'll see if I can take some more. I'm still working on finishing the cam swap to put the motor back in and then the hood back on. I'm also changing the fuel delivery, so my seat is out of the cab at the moment. And also complete retire too. Too much!
Yes Chad that's correct on the wood situation. The wheel tub bolts are right next to the outside of the frame. I bit my nails many times that it would all work without completely redoing the rear frame rails Wade Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's
Back looks great!! Fronts are way big IMO. 22's or 20's up front would have killed it. Either way awesome truck you have. Thanks for sharing it

Number 98, that would have been great. Maybe you'll be around again?

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's
Wow, i dont care for the slammed look, but this is my new favorite ride can you say TOTM all the way. Was wondering if you could share the paint color and tell us about the type of wood in the bed and what stain it has. Un freaking believable. this is nice

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's
Wow, for you to mention TOTM, I appreciate that sir. The paint colors are 2004 victory red & 2004 summit white (both GM truck colors). The bed wood is oak from brother's truck and I think it was "honey oak" stain, then used oil based varnish, let that dry a couple months, then scotch brited them, followed by 2 coats of automotive clear.
