Re: Pontiac "C-10"
I know this thread is not about hybrid a bodies, but someone had an "El Cabrito" here on the local c list a while back. It was a 66 or 67 El camino with a 66/67 tempest front clip. Looked to be a bolt on! I also recall seeing a 68-72 el camino with a Buick skylark clip. I think that it required more mods though.

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
Aztec prototype. Equally as enticing as the real one. Sometimes the truth hurts. (ok OK, just my opinion...)

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
It's a shame they decided to kill a brand with such a long time strong and loyal following. Hail to the Pontiac...HAIL!! Hail to the Studebaker...HAIL!! Hail to the Edsel...HAIL NO!!!
Hey Jocko,so you figure if someone changed the grille and tail end trim on an Aztec it would be a nice looking...uh,thing?

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
I hear ya. I passed up on so many cheap '65 GTOs (and everything else) around here in the early '80s because of rust in rear 1/4s. That used to mean the car was done, unless you could find N.O.S. quarters or had mad sheet metal skills.
Hail to the Aztec...Sir,we'll have to ask you to kindly leave now. I think you've had enough to drink Pontiup I pretty much agree, when it comes to bodies. Augmentation ruins that natural feel. This one coulda been worse...C/10 parts on a Trans Am?

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
I like it, good job!!
To me, it shows someone who has some ability to think of and create something a little different which is a very big part of this hobby in my opinion. He definitely is NOT being another copy cat or 'also ran' in his customization department ....ya' gotta like that. My two bits. Coley

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
Hah hah, yeah. But I believe the proper terms are Pontiac Cabramino,Buick Alondramino,Olds Quatro Quatro Dosamino, and I don't know what the Spanish for Monte Carlo and Nova is
I have a few pictures of pre-59-aminos I'll show later

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
Those are so cool! I really like the one at the beginning of this thread. Maybe I'll convert my C20 into an "Oldsrolet 4420"? That would be kinda cool, right?

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
Wouldn't it be Cabriomino and Alondromino so as not to confuse the gender? Then again the original is named after a trail in Southern California so Maybe gender confusion isn't really an issue.

Re: Pontiac "C-10"
I have dry humor. I guess it's a Starmino, then, right?. Monte Carlo is a hotel in Madrid,so also Spanish

You're right. Wouldn't want to be confusing gender. How about Cabramina? Or Alondramina? I know Camino means Road, trail, etc. But,what does El mean?
