A scar contest would be cool. I haven't needed any stiches yet. I did have to wait in the hospital for about 3 hours with a broken arm and no pain killers, I was about 12 at the time. The doctor finally got there and my mom was yelling at him because they kept telling us he was on his way. This is the kicker. He said that if he had known he would've been there sooner. Hospitals suck. BTW, be careful with angle grinders. I have a scar on my wrist that looks like I slit it. Good thing with angle grinders is that they seal the wound instantly. Keep the stories coming.

My father was telling me another story yesterday, when he was younger he lived on a farm. He was working on a swath sector, slowly hammering out the little rivets that held it all together. Anyways, one of the richest men in the province at the time (now a bum who lives in a chicken shack, he spent all his money on alcohol, kinda funny) came by the farm to talk with my grandfather. He noticed my father working on the swather, and came over to see what he was doing. He watched my father carefully working on the machine and got impatient with how slow my father was going hitting it so lightly. Anyways, he took the hammer from my father, and just wailed at the thing as hard as he possibly would, now this wasn't your conventional little hammer, it was a big heavy duty farm hammer, andways, he missed the rivet punch and nailed his hand between his pointer finger and thumb. My father says that his hand just split open on impact and sent blood flying all over the place like squishing a mosquitoe full of blood with a sledge hammer. My father said that it was the hardest thing he ever did not to burst out laughing at the man, or he woulda pounded my father with the hammer :P

Now if ya want to start a scar contest...Ive got one that yall would get sick of. About 3 years ago, I got an abcess on my hiney..(if ya dont know what an abcess is..think big pimple that is deep in the tissue) The doc I went to had some bimbos for nurses. I was told that I had just sat down too hard and had a bruise. well..the pain got worse day by day. Even Sitz baths got to where they couldnt help. I got to where I couldnt walk because the pain was so bad. I kept calling the doctor but didnt get a reply (Bimbo nurses)
One day My brother came to the house and I was laying on my stomach...he looked at me and yells.."WOW! One of your Butt Cheeks is 4 inches taller than the other one!" (thats when I knew I was in trouble) On the fourth day..I was crawling to the bathroom to attempt to relieve myself..but could not because the swelling was so bad it had sealed up my booty hole..LOL! Nor could I urinate..I was barfin up Bile cause all of this poison was backing up in me..I truly coulda died. (wasnt funny at the time!) One day I had to stand up for something..and I hear a"POP!" The abcess had blown out! It was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen. My skin was coming off in my hand and I was leavin a trail like a snail!!!!!! I took a trip to the Doc and told him i'd been trying to call for 3 days...and he goes..Oh my God..I'm so sorry..over and over and over. I had emergency surgery that day. When It was over and I woke up... The surgeon was standing there and I said "You could probebly get a few fingers in that huh?" he said "Bill...I had my whole FIST in there" It had blown a five inch across..six inch deep hole and stitches could NOT be used. I was down on my stomach for 2 months! They told me I was gonna have to use Maxi pads while it drained..I said "Over my dead body" i'll do ANYTHING but use a freakin maxi pad!!! I had to have a nurse come to my house once a day to pack the wound until i was able to do it myself. I now have a new respect for women who have to go the the OBGYN cause I was spread eagle so many times! I was in so much pain i coulda mooned the whole world on CNN and not cared one bit! Anyway...wanna see my scar? ahhh..who am I kiddin...nobody I know would take a picture...LOL! Last edited by BillGent; 07-08-2003 at 12:55 AM. |

Doctors know best. Yeah right. Don't you love it when doctors or nurses do that too you? They tell you nothings wrong when you know there is. I jammed my finger playing basketball once, and as usual it bruised and swole up. The pain didn't really go away so we had my finger x-rayed. The first joint on the end of my middle finger is taller than any of the others. Turns out I had a hair-line fracture and they never told us about it. When we found this out they gave me two choices. One-They could rebrake the joint and set it. Two-They would leave it alone and it would "eventually" reduce in size. I went with two. It's gone down a little bit but not much.
BillGent--That really sucks. How bad of a scar did that thing leave? Must be proud of that one huh? You shoulda grabbed the doctor, pulled down your pants, and pointed to where it hurt. LOL

BillGent--ROTFLMAO This kinda reminds me of the scene in Forest Gump. The one where he is talking to the president and getting the medal. Next time someone jokes about wanting to see the scar, just pull a Forest Gump. You don't need gauze. Just use old clean shirts. LOL. BTW, I've never see a foot long Q-tip, and I would probably pass out if I ever did.
