Its a okay truck but I didn't think it was worth 15 k the front you see is a GMC which needed to go back to a body shop.... when the floor and rocker were put in they didn't make sure the doors were lined up kinda heart breaking to see a nice truck and the doors could not be shut
Well still no truck But i did offered him 8000 for the white truck....... Nope
no 3/4 ton or no half ton the guy with the other truck works in camps so never home and the white truck he just wont sell .

What does the glove box sticker say, in 1979 my brother ordered a swb sp side w overload springs and a under drive trans. Could a 3/4 ton swb be special ordered from GM back then?

That screaming deal is out there. Just wait for it. Got My 72 Blazer for 1500. Rebuilt motor and trans,(with receipts) Two 205 cases- Buckets and buckets of spare parts (which I wish I still had). Just needed to be buttoned up and registered. Oh and a windshield.

Re: Anyone ever run accross a shortbox 3/4 ton

I met a guy once that had a short step 4x4 that was 3/4 ton. He said it was original but I didn't really believe him. I later put 3/4 ton axles under my 70 short fleet. The frames may be lighter than a 3/4 ton but still tough. I loaded over 5000 lbs of iron in it once, the rear tires would rub the fenders on over passes. 4" lift and 33" tires. I pulled a 24ft goose neck alot for my business with it. The 97 1 ton Chevy diesel was constantly breaking down. The 70, not once. They got about the same mileage too. lol. The conversion was easy. All bolt on except for rear spring pads. Its getting 1/2 ton axles on it now. I'll convert the Longhorn to 4x4 eventually, been rouding up parts for that.
