Re: I need a cup holder.

Made my own and bolted it to the heater control bolts with aluminum 1 inch strips. Hold solid and the openings are 4". Holds a foam cozy, large cup or a coffee mug.

This is what I use as well. This item works really good and can unwrap fast food for you too. This really is the perfect multi-purpose accessory. It's awful expensive though.

Re: I need a cup holder.

I do Automotive upholstery and trim and sewed up the cover for this seat. He wanted a cup holder so this was the best thing i could think of....made out of wood and covered in vinyl. Used aluminum poker table cup holders for the actual holders. Pretty simple, effective, and fairly tight against the seat and out of the way even for someone sitting in the middle.

Thanks,
Andy

It has a place for phones and other stuff. Speakers sound great because they are enclosed in the box. The cups are supported by two 4" PVC pipes cut to about 4 " long. Cool thing is that the only extra expense was the black paint and the speakers. All the rest we used scrap lumber and PVC pipe. Also, if I want to I can disconnect the two speaker wires and then remove the whole box.
Stone,
would you be interested in building one of those for me, with holes to fit 6 inch speakers?? would pay

Re: I need a cup holder.

I purchased mine at Oreilly's I bolted it to a few fab'd pieces of angle iron and to the bottom of the seat. They are adjustable. Sorry the pic is a little blurry.
The seats are off of a 2010 R@m pick up, just in case someone asks.

Re: I need a cup holder.

Here's my new cup holder. Really simple - made from a $9 parts store cup holder and a painted piece of plywood. It stays put without being bolted to the floor (also makes it easy to take out), and it holds large or small drinks.

You do not want a cheezee looking one ??? They ALL look cheezee. Some even look ridiculous. Like the ones my friend put on his Harley Bagger. One on each side of the fairing in front and one in each arm of the barcalounger his wife rides in in back. I asked him how it felt driving his living room sofa around. He didn't get it.

Re: I need a cup holder.

I keep a roll of Duct tape under the seat. It is the perfect size for all bottles and cans and is very stable and will not slide. Yet another use for the magic stuff. And its far cheaper than a hot chick in the middle. But if you have one she might be into a little duct tape as well.

Ahhh. I wish I had pics of mine....

Just imagine if you will..... A new roll of Duck Tape sitting on the hump. It was functional, adjustable, stable, and "cheezee".
