I havent had any problem except from that (texparts) that sells chrome parts on ebay but that kinds turn out ok. I'm like Teeitup it pisses me off when someone tells you that they want something and you go out and boxs it up and you wait acouple weeks only to get a PM that they changed there mind or something and you had 3 other folks wanting the same part but you where trying to do right buy the person that was 1st. I alway send out my parts the very same day I get a MO unless it's Sat.
I've sold alot on here but I've bought alot also and I would say all in all there's some great people on here.

I didn't do as good as you. I bought a steering wheel that was supposed to be free from cracks and the one I received was full of them. He did use you as a reference as I was thinking about buying a whole truck from him before receiving the steering wheel. That made up my mind.

Good pictures, detailed discription......and ask lots of questions......don't be afraid to bug anyone about an item.....and be prepared to be bugged if your selling.
Trading is a good thing as well......I've only sold and shipped one item, I have bought a few....but everything else has been trades.
I have to admit I've been a lame duck about things, but one way or another I at least try to finish all the deals I am interested in.
and sometimes things don't end up the way you planned.......it's part of life. But taking a chance on this board will usually have great results!!!!!

Buying, selling

It's not only those who sell, sometimes it's those who buy. Someone else said, these are 30+ year old part's, nothing is perfect, If you want new, or perfect, buy aftermarket, even that's not a guarentee. And, If you buy, dont expect it over night, some of us have "real job's", we do this for fun, on the side.
Most of all, Dont leave your beer behind when you visit other member's, and have fun playing with what most women won't, and that's playing with the boy's toy's, dirt, grease, and grime, That's my time.

I think over time just reading the board you get a sense of who's straight and who's not. Don't let the desire of getting your hands on a part keep you from waiting and buying it from someone with a good reputation. Be willing to walk away from the deal.

30 + year old parts wasn't the problem. I wasn't asking for new. A few hairline cracks still wouldn't be crack free but I could understand it. But small chunks missing?! LOL I asked him to make sure on more then one occasion that it was crack free. I know I am buying 30+ year old parts but if your selling at least try and come close to what your offering and I am sure most of you do. No harm done I will end up with a hanging lamp when done. I am to fat to fit behind the steering wheel comfortably anyway.

Never had a bad experience in all the time I've been lurking or since I joined. Everyone I've dealt with has been scrupulously honest. Only commercial dealings have been with Wes at Classic Heartbeat and he has been perfect. I send everyone I know or meet with one of our trucks to him. I think I'm in love with this board!!! Larry

I bought and sold off items on this board. make sure you ask questions and if possible get pics. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked

What every body else said, plus if possible talk on the phone. I've had excellent dealings with Donnie (Big Orange) and Jerry Moss on some heavy bulky items(core support and drums). I've also bought numerous smaller items and everything was as listed.

I've bought and sold on here too (mostly buy ) Only one bad dealing with a previously mentioned "X" member.

This is the best board on the net, and filled with a lot of great people and knowledge.

Ive been cruisin' this board for a couple months now....reading, watching, ect....and have often wondered...."Who Is?" and "Who Isnt?"....I think I have a good idea of whom I'd order from...be they commercial or individual.
There is alot of useful information available here....as well as parts and accessories. All questions I have asked have been READILY answered...and I thank you all for those answers and ideas.
It's getting to that point that Im ready to start ordering parts....all I can say is....*as my FAMOUS last words*....IMA GONNA!!!!!

Keep up the good work, advise, help...and last but not least...PATIENCE with ME!!
