Re: New here, 69 long bed build
Nice. I like how it went from "I'm just going to clean it up" to tearing it down to the frame. Nice find on the parts truck.

Re: New here, 69 long bed build
Hey Mando, way to get going on the project. Did the springs come with the deluxe kit? and what's your impression of the goods you received? Thanks for sharing, I'm getting ready to do the same.

Re: New here, 69 long bed build
no actually i canceled my order for the deluxe kit. i ended up buying the stepside bed and short frame i posted a while back to mount my cab on instead. it already had all 4 disc brakes plus a short frame and a bed. the lowering springs are cpp. i got 5" for the rear and 3" drop for the font. they also come with shocks and all hardware for 330$. they seem pretty good quality

Re: New here, 69 long bed build
so ive been making progress slowly but surely. running brake lines and clips has proved to be more time consuming than i expected. i also got my rear discbrakes put on and my drop spindles should be here Wednesday.

Team short bed! and I like the progress on it first time I've seen the thread and it looks like it's going well, what color are you gonna paint it? Or are you painting bed to match

Re: New here, 69 long bed build
Nice a stepper!
Since you changed directions shortly after you started you should start a completely new build thread in the projects and builds section that way you can rename it and preface the build accordingly and just link this thread to the new one. You will get a lot more guys watching over there. Last edited by Xeen; 09-12-2014 at 04:41 AM. |
