Re: My '69 c-10

No that's when I first bought it and just put those 20's on it. Since this pic was taken, I have converted it to 5 lug and lowered it. I will try to get a good pic of it tomorrow.

Re: My '69 c-10

So what's your drop set up right now? You said 5" drop springs earlier, and then the other later 2 from drop blocks? 2" spindles and 3" springs up front?

Yes it has a 5/7 drop now. I thought you were asking if that last picture was with the drop. I will get a better picture today.

Here are the before and after shots. The truck now has 5" drop springs and a 2"block in the rear, and 3"drop spindles and 1 coil cut off the springs.Name: 018.jpg

I was. I thought, "man, there is something wrong!!"

I think your stance looks great in that last pic!! I think another inch would look rally good too, but no more! IMHO

What brand/style wheels are those? Very cool!!

P.S. I guess you didn't care for the Huntin' Dawg on the side of your Ride???

Re: My '69 c-10

I may have gotten it a little too low (don't think there is any such thing), but I took the truck out for a drive the other day and hit a pretty good dip in the road. The front tires, mainly the drivers side, bottomed out in the inner fenders. I got out to check how bad and could see some rubber on the bolts out at the fender lips. Not sure what to do next.

No I don't like the rubber band look. I will just work on it some more and take out the inner fenders if need be and fab something up.

I'm thinking of cutting the bump stops down to give me another inch of travel so it doesn't hit. One thing for sure...I can't drop it 7". My total drop is 3.5" F and 4" rear. I'll post pics in a few....
Hey Ole Greenie, do you mind posting a few more pics of your pickup? I have 18" wheels and was thinking of doing a 3/4 drop, but I'm afraid I'll want to go lower (I just don't want it too low for my liking).

Loving the pics of ya'll's trucks! BSteele, yours looks awesome! The drop gives your truck a whole new attitude

My very warm thanks for your support! It looks like our freedoms are in jeopardy!

Cutting them should work. Like I said, I've read other posts where its worked for them! If that doesn't work, you could go with 2" blocks and 2" drop springs for more suspension travel. That's my part of my plan...so far...

What do you mean "didn't want too much trim for the upper control arms?" I was thinking 2" to 2.5" drop spindles. You disagree with that?

I'm like you, A little rake=Awesome Stance!!
I like a bit of rake too. Rake = Old School!

I think I was a bit off for my front lowering dimensions though. I went with 1" lowering springs and 2.5" lowering spindles. I didn't want too much shim in the upper control arms. It rides really well...straight and true!

I went with the CPP spindles...and bought a set of springs off Ebay. I bought the rear springs from Classic Industries.
