68panelman Thanks for the comment. I'm not real sure as to what I'm going to do with it yet. I may fix the brakes and clean the gas tank as this is all I can see that it needs to be able to drive. I have thought about putting it up for sale on Ebay just not 100% sure yet

Re: 1968 3/4 ton 4x4 Panel

Sorry for the delays guys ! My dad passed away unexpected on the 14th and I've had a lot going on for the past week or so.

I do have a fresh battery in it now with a new fuel pump and it runs great! I need to flush the gas tank out and get started on the brakes.

Re: 1968 3/4 ton 4x4 Panel

Thanks for the kind words. My dad will surely be missed. I didn't get to fix the brakes today but I did get the oil changed today.

Hopefully next weekend I can get the brakes started. I might be able to start this week it just depends.

Re: 1968 3/4 ton 4x4 Panel

Haven't sold it yet. I've been sick with the crud and have had to work a lot of overtime at work lately, not to mention the cold wet weather. I plan on fixing the brakes real soon and then make my mind up.

In the town I grew up in there was a 2 wheel drive panel painted the same way blue with a white top. I was too young to remember if it was 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton.

In the Next few days I will post up some more detailed pictures. If there are any specific pics anyone would like to see just let me know.

I also tried the PTO and Winch today and it works as it should!
This is so awesome! Can´t belive you found this! If you ever want to let it go, I want first dips! I´d love to have that in my collection!

Guys, just keep in mind if this turns into a for sale thread it will be closed and edited and that would be a shame because it is a great thread.

Thanks,

Re: 1968 3/4 ton 4x4 Panel

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did buy the 68 K20 Panel from member Fishbone. Once I find the time to tear into it, I will start a build thread. But it will be a complete frame off resto and keeping it original. The only changes will be power steering and power brakes. Other than that, it´ll be back to the day when it was put into service.

I did manage to get pictures from the fire depatment while it was in service. I will post these in the build thread as well.
