Re: what mirrors are you using? pics?

I use whatever mirror came on the truck originally or use another option from that year,if another type suits the use of the truck better. I think on my '72 K2500 I'm going to step down from the camper/towing mirrors to the below eyeline, like I did on the '72 Highlander. My '67 will have shortened 67/68s

Re: what mirrors are you using? pics?

Large back window in my '69. So I am using the small round stock size mirrors from LMC. Like in post #25.

The real question is ... how big is your back window? If small I'd definitely opt for the larger mirrors for better visibility in traffic.

I like how the peep mirrors look but are they even usable? Comments/feedback?

Peep mirrors are good for backing down your driveway and little else. In traffic you will always be looking over your shoulder/s.

Re: what mirrors are you using? pics?

I like how these look. I looked for them online and theres a 4" pieced coming off the back that looks like it bolts inside the door? Did you cut it off or whats the purpose? I saw them with electric controls too.

Let me know if you don't want those camper mirrors.

I cut that extension off mine... They are too long to fit in the door. I would imagine they would help keep the mirror steady. If I have issues I may add a brace later... but our old sheet metal is thicker then the years of the trucks they came from.

Re: what mirrors are you using? pics?

68 chevelle repo mirrors without the bowtie (gasket isn't quite the correct shape but the mirror quality is very good). Also 70 chevelle door handles.
I replaced my peep mirrors for something a little more factory while still being custom, I'm sure most people won't ever notice.

Apparently they CAN be used for towing. I always look over my shoulders anyways so small or no mirrors don't bother me much.

Bugz,

Are those 5-1/2" stainless mirrors? If so, I was looking at a set of them from the truckandcarshop.com. I guess you like them?

Re: what mirrors are you using? pics?

PO installed those same tiny round Chevelle mirrors. I cannot see the passenger side mirror to save my life. It was mounted symmetrical to the driver door and that is no bueno. So I found some original used sport mirrors and will clean them up. Still need to fabricate some backer plates which should be fun.

Street scene mirrors. My own version of a one peice side window. Yes I can see out of them just fine. I mounted them where I needed them to see.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
