Re: Classic Car Insurance
I had Haggerty for years with no claims to tell you about. At cruising the coast 8 years ago Grundy had a booth so I checked the price for all five of my vehicles. They were half the price had less restrictions and their service was fast and great the one claim we have had.
I am a big fan of Grundy.

Re: Classic Car Insurance
I've used American Collectors Insurance for the past 15 years on my Cougars. Cost is about $250 per year with an agreed value of 20K and 15K. They don't put limits on occasional use but you must have another vehicle that is your daily driver. Only had one claim years ago when a raccoon got in my unattached garage, fell through the plastic I had in the ceiling joists to keep the heat in the work area in the sub zero temps and landed on the convertible top. The plastic top was so cold it literally exploded. Little pieces of plastic were all over the hood and windshield. Luckily the critter landed on the support/mechanism arms and didn't fall into the interior of the car. American Collectors had me a check within 5 days of getting a quote at the local upholstery shop.

Re: Classic Car Insurance
I use http://heritageinstyler.com/index.htm for all three of my collector cars and have been very happy with them. The owner, Larry, has several classics himself and is always readily available on the phone. They offer policies both through Hagerty and Grundy. Just call them up and tell them how you would like to use the car/truck, roadside asst, etc and they will find you the best policy. I think my coverage is about $700 a year total for the three cars with agreed values totaling $80K.

Re: Classic Car Insurance
My buddy had his very nice 70 El Camino stolen right in front of his house during his lunch break 2 years ago. Haggerty had him a check in less than a week for the full amount, no questions asked. FWIW
