I figured that was the case but had that pic handy so I posted it anyway just in case you really were looking for the location.

I forgot to mention this in my last post. That location was left unused in pickup trucks.

The larger medium duty trucks often had a vacuum gauge or air pressure gauge in that location (depending on the truck's braking system). A medium duty truck gauge cluster (or parts from one) can be used to add one of those gauges to a pickup truck. A vacuum gauge can serve as a "fuel economy" gauge. And an air pressure gauge might be something to consider if you plan on converting to an air ride suspension system.

Or if you want to do something a bit more custom, you could modify the cluster to accept a clock (perhaps out of a 73-87 pickup), or some other gauge of your choice.

Re: gauge console

good advice on posting in the right place, but I only see two places, the 67-72 truck general and then the build, are there other sections. you just hate beginners, don't you? thanks for the time and the forum! its gonna keep me from giving up.

Re: gauge console

This is the link for the home page for the forum. It shows everything on this website.
....http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/index.php

The link is also located just below the picture of the truck at the top of every page.

You can also go to the bottom of any page and click on the arrow where it says forum jump, and it will show all the forums. Just click on the one you want and click on go and you'll be there.

This is what i do, I have my email notifications turned on so any time someone post's in a thread i have subscribed too i get the notification in my email box, they have a direct link to that message. I believe that is located by clicking ether "User CP" or your forum name (account setup)

Per hiding the truck, nope i tell her like it is, my money my house my truck, what is an eye sore to her is a thing of beauty to me. OK so its not really that bad, she likes my truck.
