Can't wait for more! Love the colors, I'm doing a 47 power wagon and plan on white and a light tan. Looks killer.

Re: K20 Identity Crisis
Well its finally shaping up to be a pretty good looking truck.
The wheels are still out being built. The rear wheels will have an additional 2 inches off set and the fronts will have the stock Camper Special 10 inch wheels. This should fill the flares perfectly. This is definitely an exciting new truck line that we are building at Rtech Fabrications. Just imagine this truck as a crew cab with a 5.9 cummins in it. That is the next truck that we will be building. The crew cab version of this is going to have an all updated interior out of an 08' suburban, possibly dash modifications also to keep the character of the old and the kindness of the new.

Re: K20 Identity Crisis
Well it was a quite but snowy Saturday morning, didn't feel much like holding the couch down so I went out to the shop and decided to go ahead and finish up the engine compartment on the Drill Sergeant. First off, I started with installing a two piece remote fuel filter that is easily accessible from up top. Then I went ahead and installed a new multi-post battery. I favor these because I like to utilize the top posts for the main battery cable and side posts for all other accessories, including the fuse block main feed. Next I went ahead and striped the old vinyl wrap off of the engine compartment wiring harness. Checked all wires and then rewrapped with new vinyl and installed. I ran into a hiccup on the voltage regulator. As most of you are probably aware I HATEChinese knock off parts. You know the bushings that hold the voltage regulator to the core support, which are also used for mounting the cargo light, tend to pull out a little easier then the originals so I decided to go a better route after completing this and I was very satisfied with the outcome.

Re: K20 Identity Crisis
LOVE IT!
I was thinking recently about placing some jerry cans inside my truck bed in that same area. I know you said you were going to use leather straps to secure it. I was thinking it might be pretty cool to hole saw right were the circle is in the middle of the can and weld a tube through the center. Then secure the can much like some vehicles do for their spare tires with a sort of large washer faced wing nut. I am also curious if you plan to bed line the boxed in area to keep it from getting scuffed up? Awesome, Awesome builds. If you ever need a management or marketing guy, hell a guy to sweep the shop... let me know. I would love to be apart of what your shop is doing. |

That truck is sick!! Did you ever hear the story Jay Leno tells about his tank car? Whenever he drives it, kids see it and start jumping up and down! I just sprained my ankle.

Not to sound stupid but the threaded pop rivets, where do ya get them? Plus the rivet gun has a knob on the back, mind does not so is this a dedicated pop rivet gun?

How are 'all' the builds you have coming along? I'm partial to this one, but subscribed to all.
