Just picked up these too! Not sure if I'm going to run them or not. They are in great shape!

Re: Project "WALT" aka '71 daily driver
I also Picked up all the things that I needed to do the s10 speedo conversion on the stock guage bezel. Also, picked up a cruise control unit out of the same s10. Now I just need to find a correct cruise control lever.

Re: Project "WALT" aka '71 daily driver
The Porterbuilt dropmember I picked up is a older version. Its the V3, but still going to work! I need to get ahold of Nate at Porterbuilt and get some parts I'm missing from the dropmember. Missing the billet bushings for the rack, the threaded sleeves for the rack hardware/heimjoints, the bushings and bolts to secure the control arms to the dropmember itself. Also need some LS motor mounts, I have the SBC ones, but was thinking of trying to make an adapter plate for the SBC ones I have. See if it works or not.

Wow. That's awesome. So in this pic, what's your suspension set up? I have dreams of accuair also. But at this time, the funds just won't allow it.
Are you still daily driving it? Edit: what's your wheel and tire size combo? |

Re: Project "WALT" aka '71 daily driver
Thank you! Yeah, that vu4 and e-level set up is the route I want to go in the far future. Still driving it daily. In that picture I have front; 2.5 drop spindles, bag plates and cups and dominator airbag. Rear; CPP c-notch , 1.5 block, ECE shock relocators , ECE super trac bar, and dominator airbags in stock spring location. KYB shocks all the way around. Running 15x7 chrome reverse wheels on 215/70/15...I believe, not at home at the moment.

Re: Project "WALT" aka '71 daily driver
Got a little further along on my build. Installed a KP components weld in step notch and put the bags over the axle. Still using the stick trailing arms. And haven't cut the trailing arm xmember down yet. Got the last pieces to my porterbuilt dropmember and also got the porterbuilt gas assisted hood hinges. Picked up some Michigan Metal Works control arms also. I'll be installing all that after the summer months.

Went with the new Airlift 3p manifold/air management system. So far, so good. I'm impressed with it so far.
