Yep, Briggs and Stratton has been the lock supplier for GM since the early 1930's. B&S sold out a few years back so a lot of the older original stuff is getting hard to find.

Re: NOS '67-'72 GM Pickup Lock Set

I know it's a long shot, but if you find another set, I am in need. I have no door lock keys so my truck stays unlocked where ever I go.

If you don't need new I might be able to come up with a good used set. Otherwise I will put you on the list. Let me know.

For now, I can wait to see if you can find a new set.

I am working on finishing up a fuel system change and waiting on new wheels. I am just keeping it in the garage for now not driving it. Once done, I want to be able to lock the truck up.

Hopefully you will run into a new set by then. If not, I will pm you and ask about a used set.

Thank you for the help.

Re: NOS '67-'72 GM Pickup Lock Set

Leon, I am way to late on the list. I have set of door locks (no key swap meet doors) you could possibly re-key? I am missing one of the angled tangs for the door cylinder too. Securing clips are there just not the attached arm. I would like to send them your way along with the ignition key. (I know I followed ur instructions to the "T"). Soaked the sucker with WD40 but ignition switch in the 67 isn't being very nice. So can't send it short of demolishing it to make them all match up. Are you willing to do your magic? PM a address please.

Hi Dan,

70STOVEBOLT inquired about those also in a post on page one. Another guy PM'd me back on 12/31/13 about a set with hex keys for a '68. I have some bits and pieces laying around here for the early locks so I will have to see what I can come up with. I will have to go in order of inquiry if I can come up with anything though.

Yes, the '67 "A" keyway locks and the '68 "C" keyway locks will use the small Octagon head or the larger rectangular head blanks. The blanks are still year specific. Below is a picture of the GM "C" blanks I have on hand. This blank will not fit the lock sets I have listed here.

Leon, if you can put together a nice set with the early keys, I would be good with that. Does not need to be NOS, my truck is not a show truck. I just like the early keys.

Thanks,
Mark

Re: NOS '67-'72 GM Pickup Lock Set

I have 9 more sets. 4 of the sets have the old B&S boxes and 5 of them have Strattec boxes. That’s the company that bought out Briggs & Stratton. The locks look the same and the boxes still say “Made In USA”. That tells me that they may still be making the parts. The Strattec parts are a dollar more but I will eat that on the orders I already have. I have PM’d the following people in order of posting. The first four will receive the B&S boxes and the last 5 will receive the Strattec boxes if that makes a difference to you…. All future boxes will be the Strattec ones.
