Re: 1965 C10 Long Bed
Man it got stupid cold last night. I was going to presses wash the 65 and see past that dirt. However, I decided it was way too cold to get wet. Guess I will wait till this weekend. Hopefully the weather is better.

Re: 1965 C10 Long Bed
Well decided to mess with the C10 today.
Grinder the welds on this plate in the bed. And removed it. And there is an original bed under there . Cleaned the engine bay a little. And there is an engine in there. Also picked up a complete 1986 K member. To do my front disc conversion when I get to that point.

Re: 1965 C10 Long Bed
Well so far I was entertaining possibly putting the c10 body on my bagged s10 frame.
I have seen it done with one. It looks ok, However to make it look right you would need to get custom ordered rims with 1" backspace to make it fill out the fenders to look right. I laid the front clip over my old project s10 frame to get a good look at it. I don't like it. And don't feel like forking out close to $3000 on custom rims to make it look right. So took a pressure washer and cleaned off the front of the c10 frame to get it ready for my 5 lug, disc and bag swap. Also snapped a couple shots of the front cab corners. It looks real good shape. Some wise guy hooked a chain the the radiator support some time in the past. Ripped it loose on one side. So I will have to fix that. S10 frame laying. C10 front clip on the s10 frame, looks ok at this angle. However if you seen it in person. You wouldn't like it. Here you can see it needs about 5" offset to look right. Pretty much removing all the back space. C10 frame pressure washed Front cab corners

Re: 1965 C10 Long Bed
Sell the S-10 to the 47-54 AD guys. There are a TON of S-10 frame swaps on that end of the forum

Well I picked up my steeliness today! Ordered upper bag plates and step notch.
And hit scrap metal yard to end up with enough iron to make a fab table.

Re: 1965 C10 Long Bed
Got the other 3 legs on today.
Need to cut angle braces for the legs. Then flip it over so I can put some pads under the legs.

Re: 1965 C10 Long Bed
Moved the 65 to the driveway to clean out all the old wood and pressure wash the frame under it. Had a friend of the family helping me out a little.
Next up will be trying to get some of the parts ready to be put on. Anyone know where to get the rubber for the radiator support on the bottom? I'm missing 1. Someone hooked a chain to it at some point ripping the lower support loose. Going to have to remove it and repair it. And need a rubber support.
