Re: you might drive a squarebody when

your friends ask where the headliner is

only some of your gauges work, and the fuel gauge doesnt stop moving until the engine is off

people at your college simply know it as "that big old redneck truck"

when your truck is picky about when it will actually go into granny gear

when you tell passengers that if they want to bring a drink, to make sure its bottled due to the lack of cupholders

When you have to jack up the side of your truck to fill your tank with gas or find a gas station that is on a hillside sloping away from the pump.

Re: you might drive a squarebody when

you know you drive a squarebody when you've got a STRAIGHT AXLE under the front of even 1500's.

you know you drive a square body when you've got a gas gauge as big as the speedometer.

you know you drive a squarebody when you still have an analog clock in your truck, and it works!

you know you drive a squarebody when you see people whom have their headlights backwards with 4 quad lights and the low beams are lit on the bottom.

you know you drive a squarebody when you can hear plenty of wind noise at 50mph or more.

you know you drive a squarebody when you could pick and choose twice as many options that weren't standard like today

you know you drive a squarebody when you have the small radio opening like most any GM from the 1950's and newer.

you know you drive a squarebody when you have 2 fuel tanks.

you know you drive a squarebody when the stepside beds were metal and mostly unchanged in overall design since the 1950's trucks.

you know you drive a squarebody when stepside beds still used wood for the bottom.

you know you drive a squarebody when it was more likely to have been built in the USA.

you know you drive a squarebody when you have thick real, quality chrome bumpers unlike today's cheap chrome, and plastichrome junk.

you know you drive a squarebody when you have to get out and lock the hubs

you know you drive a squarebody when the 4 speed transmissions you could get for the 4x4 trucks was also used in buses and large series trucks dating back to the early 70's.

you know you drive a squarebody when the steering column design was created in the late 60's.

When you close the door you have to lift it up hard so it will hit the striker as the body has settled from being so rusty.....

...if you break down, there is a good chance that you can make a road side repair with just a crescent wrench and your multi-tool.

You might have an old chevy when no matter how rough it is, you can't help smiling every time you drive it

If you have to hit the top of the dash to make one of the dash lights come on. (at least on mine)
If you have to bend over or kneel down in order to fuel up your lowered truck.

you might drive a squarebody when you lock the doors by hand and there's a hollow metal sound.

you might drive a squarebody when you have to turn the fuel nozzle up at an angle to keep the gas pump from clicking off.

Re: you might drive a squarebody when

you might drive a square when you put a piece of cardboard under the wing window latch or crack open the rear sliding glass in attempt to seal the whistle. I in fact do drive a squarebody and have tried both.
